
What are your Terms and Conditions for custom orders?
All light fixtures must be hardwired in by a licensed electrician.
We want you to love your custom piece, so we’ll work closely with you during the consultation stage to bring your vision to life. Since each piece is handcrafted to order, we kindly ask you to choose carefully. Because of the bespoke nature of our work, we’re unable to offer returns or refunds if you change your mind or if the lighting doesn’t suit your intended space.
All our porcelain lights are 100% handcrafted, carrying the beautiful character and marks of a handmade piece. Subtle variations in color and shape naturally occur during the firing process, making every each artwork unique. These organic differences are a signature of artisanal craftsmanship and not considered defects that are reason for return or exchange. While approximate colour, finish and dimensions can be set upon commission, each design is one-of-a-kind.
Why is pricing not listed on your website on all your lights?
We do not publish all our prices on our website as each order is wonderfully unique. Price is affected by various factors, including size, custom options, lengths and finishes. We provide detailed quotes with all these considerations. Please see available works for immediate dispatch in our shop.
Are your lights suitable for use outside Australia?
Yes, we have shipped worldwide worldwide! All our lights can be supplied with any overseas components such as lampholders, plugs and drivers to suit any electrical system requirements.
Where is your lighting made?
Melbourne, Australia by a two person team. We pride ourselves on using local suppliers and materials.
How do you place custom orders?
Custom orders can be initiated via email at studio@sarahtracton. We will carefully guide you through a process that begins with inquiries about shape, design, colour and size, based on your architectural plans. We require a 50% deposit to commence an order. Shipping quotes, excluding VAT, are provided prior to dispatch.
How do you place international orders?
To place international orders, please email us at studio@sarahtracton.com. Please note that international shipping costs will be provided, but any potential VAT and customs duties are not covered in the quote.
Are light bulbs included?
Light bulbs are included with our fixtures.
Are your fixtures dimmable?
Excluding lamps (which have an in line switch) our fixtures are dimmable, providing you use a compatible dimmer switch. Your electrician will be responsible for the placement of dimmable switches.
Returns & Exchanges?
Given that each piece is meticulously crafted to order, we will be do not accept returns or exchanges once the order is placed.
How long are lead times?
Our lead times range for custom orders range from 6 to 10 weeks. For products we already have in stock, our lead time is 1 to 3 weeks.
Do you quote shipping?
Yes, we provide shipping quotes, excluding VAT. Please note that with delicate items, we recommend additional insurance in shipping. We will guide you through the options via quotes.
How do you install the fixtures?
You will need to hire a licensed electrician for the installation of our fixtures. It's important to note that the warranty will be void if the fixtures are improperly handled or installed.
What is your warranty?
We have a 5 year warranty for our LED electrical components and drivers. The warranty commences from the date of shipping, not installation. Our porcelain lights require very careful handling during installation. We are able to make kintsugi repairs to any breakages with consultation, and will provide a costing for repair and return shipping and handling.
